İsak Eskinazi (Istanbul) wrote for many years in Judeo-Spanish (Ladino). His articles appeared on the Judeo-Espanyol page of the newspaper Şalom and, under the heading “Saver es Bueno” (“Knowing is good”), in El Amaneser, the monthly Ladino supplement published by the Sephardic Center of Istanbul.

This site collects every piece we were able to find: 73 columns from Şalom (July 2019 – November 2025) and 36 from El Amaneser (January 2020 – April 2025), 109 in all, grouped by topic. Every article can be read in the original Ladino and in English and Turkish translation. The translations follow the originals closely, keeping his examples and the Turkish and Hebrew words he liked to use.
